About the Department
Department of Bengali has been commenced since the beginning of the college i.e in September 2013 with only one full- time teacher. But within a short period, gradually other teachers joined and at now the department in running with three years of students and four full-time teachers. The intake capacity of the students in the department was 25 in the initial year which from the next year, had been enhanced to 41.The students who had passed in B.A. , achieved a consistently good results.

Intake Capacity : 41(Forty One)
Library : The department is trying to enrich the Library with essential Text Books along with the Reference books.

Other activities
The teachers, who have excellent academic records, research experiences & large number of publications, are encouraging the students in both the academic & co-curricular activities. Students also, with great enthusiasm, are taking part in that. They have arranged a departmental seminar, created a periodic wall-magazine named ‘ATHOI’, played important role till date in different cultural programs like Rabindra Jayanti, Basantotsab, Freshers Welcome etc
